Gilance, officially known as Gilance S.A., is a family business established in 1964 by Ben Fabi. Originating from Belgium, Gilance is a multi-brand company that collaborates with more than 67 renowned brands such as "Lancel", "Arthur & Aston", and "Eastpack", in addition to its own brand. Specializing in leather goods, Gilance offers a varied range of products designed to accompany daily life, whether for school, work or travel, with a catalog of more than 95,000 items.
When he started out in the 1960s, Ben Fabi, a leather craftsman, decided to create his own factory. Drawing on his experience and his passion for leather goods, he opened his first multi-brand store in La Louvière in 1964, called “Gilance”. This name is the result of the fusion between “elegance” and the first name “Gilda”, that of the founder’s wife.
At the end of the 1980s, his son Alain Fabi joined the company and began developing the network of stores. He became general manager in 1991. Gilance's head office is located at 4 Rue du Progrès, 1400 Nivelles. Currently, the company has 17 stores across Belgium, notably in Brussels, Louvain-La-Neuve, Waterloo, Wijnegem, Liège, Charleroi, Châtelineau, Mons, Tournai and La Louvière.
Guided by his travels abroad, Alain Fabi, as managing director, has unearthed numerous quality products to offer them in his stores, thus meeting the diverse needs of customers. Gilance is committed to promoting Belgian and European manufacturers as much as possible, which is reflected in the wide range of products offered in store.
